“Laura gives Crackers a makeover.”
Crackers
He’s a dog like no other! Intelligent, loyal, and full of honorable intentions, Crackers’ mishaps and adventures will surprise and amuse you!
The books are about a lovable, ever faithful, family dog and his friends. All three books are chapter books and each chapter is about a new adventure in Crackers’ life. Children love to have adults read these books to them. Children around the ages of 7 and above will be able to read the books by themselves.
You may buy the books online, but if you would like to purchase an autographed copy of the books, I would be happy to do that for you.
Lynne Morgan is a retired Spanish teacher from the town of Hopedale, MA. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a Certification in Instructional Technology. During her 30 year career, she wrote the curriculum for teaching Spanish to children in grades 3 through 6, was chairperson of the foreign language department, advisor to the Class of 1995, and acknowledged five times by her students for ‘excellence as a distinguished teacher’ in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Literacy is important to Lynne and she supports its causes in many ways. Lynne’s concern about literacy was an inspiration for her to write this series of chapter books about a dog named Crackers.
MY LATEST BOOKS
Crackers
Crackers is adopted as a flea infested puppy who steals the hearts of all who know him. He is intelligent, loyal and full of honorable intentions but sometimes things don’t always go his way and that is when the fun begins.
Crackers F.B.I.
Crackers unexpectedly becomes a member of the FBI dog squad in the first chapter, gets skunked in another chapter, and lost in yet another chapter. (But don’t worry. All ends well.)
Crackers & His Friends
In my new book, you will meet Crackers’ best dog friends; Black Jack the lovable Lab, Riley the sweet Golden Retriever, and Rascal the darling rescue dog.
About Crackers
Join Crackers and the Morgan family in this delightful retrospective. Crackers still lives in the hearts of all who knew him. He’ll find a place in your heart too.
About Crackers FBI
In the first adventure, Crackers FBI, Crackers can’t believe his luck when Graham, an FBI agent, allows him to be part of a secret FBI operation. Although Crackers becomes a hero in that adventure, he shows another side of his personality later when he decides to steal a wig from Lynne’s father. In yet another episode, while playing innocently with the Brian Roads kids, Crackers experiences ultimate humiliation when he gets sprayed by a skunk and literally makes a big stink for the whole family.
Each of the six chapters reveals a different adventure in the life of Crackers. All the stories are based on actual happenings. Crackers still lives in the hearts of those who loved him. He’ll find a place in your heart too.
My New Book! Crackers & His Friends
Riley is the new puppy who arrives to the house around the corner from the Crackers’ house. She is a Golden Retriever who belongs to two little boys who decided they needed a dog of their own and how they went about getting her.
Another very good friend of Crackers is Rascal. Rascal is a rescue dog. You will see how Rascal gets rescued and presented to a little girl on her birthday. Rascal feels very lucky to belong to a loving family until something happens that he doesn’t understand.
“What a delightful story. It was fun reading about the “hero” of the story, Crackers, but also to share good times with the Morgan girls, their mom and dad, and the Brian Road kids. I’d like to read more about the hilarious happenings of the amazing dog Crackers and so would my grandchildren. I hope Mrs. Morgan will soon write a sequel.”
Crackers is everyone’s favorite pet – a hero of the family and naughty sometimes also. Great stories for children with lessons imbeded in the adventures of this true to life dog. I loved the stories of Crackers and hope there will be more in the future. Good job – Lynne Morgan!
